RETREAT
During the winter season from beginning of October until the 1st of May, the south of Crete is more or less deserted. There are no boats sailing from Sfakia and only a few people people stay in Finikas for the winter, and in Loutro shops and restaurants are closed.
In this unique and quiet period Finikas Resort has shown to be a good setting for meditation retreats, contemplating studies and creative work.
The weather is normally rather shifty, with day temperature 17-22 °C and at night 12-14 degrees.
Transport & Supply
At arrival Yusuf offers to pick you up at the airport i Chania, bring you to a supermarket for necessary supply, and from there drive you to Finikas.
If needed during your stay, Yusuf can once a week arrange further food supply.
At departure Yusuf also offers transport from Finikas to the airport in Chania.
For this service – total transport 250-300 km – an extra payment of 150€ will be charged.
Booking
You are welcome to make retreat-bookings during two periods; from 01.12 – 15.01 and from 01.03. – 15.04
All retreat-bookings must be made for a minimum of two weeks. Upon request more periods can be available. Please contact for more information.
Rates
A room for 1 person: 2 weeks 600€ – every following weeks 150€ (3 weeks; 750€ / 4 weeks; 900€ etc.)
If 2 persons wish to stay in one room, 20% of the rental cost is added.
